A Part Of The Cycle

Once there was a safe blanket of snow, the demolished house was set on fire.
Any contents inside: gone.
The flame was taller than the trees.
There was also a garage and shed, they were set on fire too.
Walking between them felt like a war zone and as hot as hell.
The snow melted from the area.
It was an unbearable heat.
The crackling sounds were phenomenally loud -- something out of this world.
All that is left is melted glass, metal, and oddities like a ceramic bird.
These things remaining that went through the fire, are what I have collected
and am working with to create ornaments.
As the fire was burning a friend of the family simply stated that it's "Part of The Cycle".

I collected items from the rubble.
One of them being a gear with exactly seven holes.
It's beautiful and being what it is -- a gear from a machine.
It evokes ideas of what it once was a part of, or what it could be a part of.
I shrunk the images from "A Part of The Cycle" to fit the gear.
